Samory Houzangbe

Human-Computer Interaction and Interactive Artificial Intelligence

I am Samory Houzangbe, postdoctoral researcher working on the RUD project at ESTIA. I obtained an engineering degree in computer science from ESILV in 2012. After working for a year and a half as a research and development engineer, I decided to complete a Master of Science in Virtual Reality and then in 2016 start a PhD at Arts et Metiers Institute of Technologies in Laval (France). I defended my thesis in March 2019 on the “Impact on User Experience in Virtual Reality of Biofeedback issued from Smart Wearables”. Between November 2020 and July 2021, I realized a postdoctoral mission on the analysis of physiological response and nonverbal behavior to understand the creative process during a creativity session in Virtual Reality. I joined ESTIA in November of 2021 and in this project I will study how user centered artificial intelligence can be integrated into the RUD project and better understand the factors influencing user experience when interacting with these systems.
