Welcome to our newly launched website! To begin with, we would like to briefly describe what our RUD Project is all about:
RUD is a 2.5-year Project co-funded by the Eurostars-2 joint programme and the European Union Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. Our team is integrated by iA3i (France), 3D Semantix (Canada), Famolde-GLN (Portugal) and ESTIA Engineering Institute (France).
One of the key challenges for companies nowadays is to manage, develop and use unstructured data. For the past 30 years, lots of work has been focused on the restructuring of graphic data from paper media. However, there is not much research done on how to restructure vector graphics files including schematics, plans, or drawings.
RUD Project address all these issues for the first time to answer to current market needs.
Since the amount of digital data generated will continue to increase exponentially in the coming years, there is a concrete business opportunity to respond to the ongoing market needs of unstructured documents. In this context, RUD tools will allow to classify and (re)organise documents and 3D models.
